MIKI HOUSE Festival Dolls - Standing Hina Dolls

May your child grow up healthy and beautiful with a kind heart.
May they receive much love and find happiness in life.
With these wishes in mind, MIKI HOUSE presents Wajima-Nuri Standing Hina Dolls.

These Hina dolls, adorned with the "eisho" symbol, which represents hope for the future, health,
and parental love, embody our wish that your child will soar high and succeed for many years to come.

About Raden

May your child enjoy long-lasting health, soar high, and achieve great success...
MIKI HOUSE has imbued this wish with the "eisho" design.

The eisho design on the Hina dolls is made from mother-of-pearl.
Known as the mother-of-pearl that nurtures the South Sea pearl, the queen of pearls, this shell has long been cherished as a power stone, symbolizing maternal love, bonds, and healing.

Using "raden", one of the Wajima lacquerware techniques, a crane soars into the sky with an elegant sheen. Each crane, handcrafted by artisans from mother-of-pearl, exudes both beauty and a warm presence.
May your child grow up healthy and happy for many years to come, soaring high into a bright future—MIKI HOUSE has embodied this wish in the eisho (eternal soaring) design adorning the Hina dolls.

White mother-of-pearl, known for nurturing pearls, has been cherished since ancient times as a symbol of maternal love, bonds, and healing. Using this white mother-of-pearl, and employing the raden technique, one of the techniques of Wajima lacquerware, we have depicted cranes soaring into the sky. Each crane is cut out by hand by craftsmen and carefully inlaid, and its expression gently changes with each passing light, imbuing it with quiet elegance and warmth. It is a design that softly embodies the wish that your child will soar forever and find eternal happiness.

About the Hina Dolls' Obi

About the Hina Dolls' Obi

The Hina dolls' obi (sash) uses a colored lacquer specifically formulated to MIKI HOUSE's signature red. Due to the properties of lacquer, a living material, it gradually dries and deepens over time, eventually reaching the specially formulated red hue. The color of the obi will change over approximately three months to achieve its final MIKI HOUSE red.

About the Gold Leaf

About the Gold Leaf on the Platform

The gold platform beautifully enhances the MIKI HOUSE Standing Hina Dolls, which are primarily black in contrast.
It symbolizes illuminating the future brightly. The gold platform is made by skilled craftsmen who carefully apply the delicate gold leaf, hammered to a thickness of approximately 1/10,000th of a millimeter and cut into 15cm squares.

The MIKI HOUSE logo on the front is hand-painted by craftsmen with lacquer, one letter at a time, and finished using the maki-e technique.
